The local Humane Society has such a hard time placing black cats that it offers a deep discount on the adoption fee.

    So did you take advantage of the opportunity to stock up?

    The Humane Society here, so I’m told, won’t place black cats for a month or so before Halloween.

    I won’t get another pet until I have a steady job.

    My ex always insisted that the cat(s) be kept indoors on Halloween.

    Irregular work is enough to support the two black cats I brought home in November 2011.
