the inquiring mind, however dim

When Jeff Riggenbach said that Butt-Head is smarter than Beavis, I told him about this bit (the relevant part begins at 1:30). I say Butt-Head is more worldly but Beavis is more imaginative.

One Response to the inquiring mind, however dim

  1. Anton says:

That clip is gone, and I don’t know which it was of two that I had in mind.

Beavis asks, “Why is Tom Petty famous?” “Because he’s on TV.” “And why is he on TV?” “Because he’s famous.” Beavis is not satisfied, and they go around a couple of times more until Butt-Head concludes, “Now shut up before I smack the bejesus out of you.” “Oh, okay.”

Butt-Head mentions that an acquaintance’s father writes movies. Beavis: “You mean he goes to movies and writes down what they say?” “No, he writes it before.” “How does he know what they say before he watches it??” “Makes it up, I guess.” “Oh! We could do that!” and Beavis describes the beginning of his perfect movie, while Butt-Head sits uninterested.
