{"id":3248,"date":"2013-10-12T01:02:21","date_gmt":"2013-10-12T09:02:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bendwavy.org\/wp\/?p=3248"},"modified":"2013-11-16T18:10:06","modified_gmt":"2013-11-17T02:10:06","slug":"a-shifting-role","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bendwavy.org\/wp\/?p=3248","title":{"rendered":"a shifting role"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The original <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0100263\/\"><i>Nikita<\/i><\/a> (1990) and the American remake <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0107843\/\">Point of No Return<\/a><\/i> (1993) had a minor character called Victor the Cleaner &#8212; played by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000606\/\">Jean Reno<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000172\/\">Harvey Keitel<\/a> respectively &#8212; whose specialty was making evidence, such as bodies, disappear.<\/p>\n<p>Reno returned in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0110413\/\"><i>L\u00e9on<\/i><\/a> (1994), again as a &#8220;cleaner&#8221;, but this time &#8220;cleaner&#8221; meant assassin.<\/p>\n<p>In the current TV series <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1592154\/\">Nikita<\/a><\/i>, &#8220;cleaner&#8221; again means assassin.
