I have long suspected he was frustrated at least as much by failure to get people to participate actively in a number of projects he tried to launch, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucifer.com\/~sasha\/newsfilter_plan.html\"> newsfilter<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homoexcelsior.com\/archive\/technology\/msg01253.html\"> aichess<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But, after writing the above, I found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oocities.com\/greenelephant88\/what_happened.html\">this account<\/a> of Sasha&#8217;s last hour.  I wish I had seen it sooner.  It has completely derailed what I was trying to write here.<\/p>\n<p>When I got the news, two years ago, it brought me as close to suicide as I&#8217;ve ever been.  But hell, if it was just the dope, I might almost say I got worked up over nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Now this looks like a hit-piece, which was and is none of my intention.
